Eric Tippmann worked hard for Perry Township— increasing investment in fire and EMS services every year.
Since taking office in 2019, I’ve supported the creation of a county‑wide fire district, and that goal is now close to becoming reality. The new Perry Township fire station—an investment our community made together—helped strengthen the case for a unified system. Ideally, a county‑wide district can use shared resources and economies of scale to drive tax rates lower while maintaining excellent service.

A strong community depends on responsible budgeting. When local government keeps taxes affordable, families can put down roots, employers can attract talent, and investment follows. It creates a healthy cycle! Every taxing unit must commit to spending only what is necessary and treating each budget cycle with the discipline typically reserved for shortfall years.
